Who needs Subway???

Lunchtime around our house is pretty boring. So we decided to kick it up a notch and create our own little sandwich shop set-up. We got out every veggie imaginable to put on our sandwiches and went to town! It was pretty funny to watch Paige taste test each item before deciding if she wanted it on or not. Needless to say, my sandwich was bigger.

Hmmm... so many choices

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about

And this is what Cal did the whole time.

Oh to be a kid again

Not much as of late, but enough to keep me from posting regularly. So here's the story in picture book format:

big happy smiles

dance parties

pirate parties

pudding treats (and loads of laundry)

fashion shows
lots of growing and lounging
oodles of crafts
and TONS of puzzles

My big project has been turning our loft (dance party central) into a little craft room and it has been SO worth it. Paige just loves to go crazy with markers, crayons, playdough, etc. and I don't have to stress about it getting everywhere anymore now that she has her own special spot. Once again, a huge nod to IKEA for all the supplies. I swear our house could be a living advertisement for them. Yes, I am THAT addicted.

Blessing Day

We had Calvin's baby blessing this past Sunday and it was a really sweet experience. A lot of things have been hard since my brother Justin passed away, but for some reason I was really sad about him not being there that day. But just as the blessing ended I had an overwhelming feeling of warmth from the spirit and I knew that he had been there looking on. It was such a special moment. I still just ache thinking about how he's really gone but I am so grateful for the tender mercies that the Lord has shown our family. Families truly are forever.

Anyways, Calvin looked handsome in his little outfit... beanie and all! We had a great time being together in honor of the little man.

And we discovered that trying to take a picture of 6 kids is near impossible.

It's been a while...

Yes, life has been nuts and blogging is not necessarily the top of my priority list, thus the time lapse. But life as a mother of two is GREAT, but definitely CRAZY! After two months of battling various illnesses I am happy to report that we made it through and all is well in the Forbis household once again. Hip hip hooray!! Anyways, here's some pics to catch up.

Little Cal... what a stud.

Our annual Bluth vacay to Newport Beach - so fun!

How Calvin spent his time on the beach.

Just a little more pool time.

Poor Patrick had to stay home to work and we missed him terribly, but came home to a nice suprise dinner cooked completely by himself and topped off with this lucious cake! Amazing indeed.
