Finally...

I'm finally back! Sorry it took so long but we decided to start moving THE DAY I went into labor... of course. And we just barely got our internet hooked up today. So without further ado...

Here he is!

Calvin Patrick Forbis
Wednesday, June 11th 3:25pm
8lbs 21 3/4 inches

Labor and delivery went great and I couldn't have asked for a sweeter baby. He really is such a good little guy. When Paige saw him for the first time she came running over saying "My baby!" So cute. She is absolutely in love with him, as are we all. So yes, we started moving Wednesday morning which is right when the contractions hit. So we went and did the whole hospital/baby thing and Patrick continued to move our entire house while I was recovering in the hospital. WHAT A MAN!! So it was kind of crazy to leave to the hospital from one house and come home to another, but everything has been working out wonderfully. So yes, we are in our new house and LOVING it! I feel so grown up having two kids and owning a house. Kinda crazy, but we are so blessed. Alright, enough already, here's the picture fest.

Pics are for Chics

It's been a while since I've posted any pictures so here's some random ones as of late. And no, I still haven't had the babe... or moved into our house.

I LOVE this little girl.

Private photo shoot with the two silly heads. Love it.

At a swim party the other night... now that's one hot blonde.
My dad on his Birthday with cute little naked (nephew) Layton - Happy Birthday Dad!

My brother Jordan and his fiance (finally!) Erica. Congrats guys! To be wed in October - hooray!

Well, that's it. Nothing too exciting around here... just a lot of anxious waiting.

Catch 22

Part 1:
I am REALLY sick of being giganticly prego and would LOVE to have this little boy in our lives.

Part 2:
We may be able to move in next week and I REALLY don't want to have to do that with a newborn. Anyone have a magic wand they could lend me???

Talk About Being Blessed

As you know, we've been on the house hunt for a bit but have not really had any luck. Well, now that our time is running out at our rental house the pressure is ON! So we did some major looking, found a house that's a bargain deal that we are IN LOVE with, and started the whole process again with little hope. The only thing is that it's a short sale, which is great because it's listed WAY UNDER it's normal price, but it also means it could take up to 6 months to get approved and everything, which is a long amount of time that we don't really have.

So after A LOT of hoping and praying we just heard TODAY, a week later (which is UNREAL with a short sale) that our offer was accepted and the house is ours!!!! HOORAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!! So sad to leave where we are, but so grateful to be taken care of! Now let's just see if we can get it all done before the little man decides to make his big debut! YIKES!

Much Love and Appreciation

Thank you all so much for the love and support that you have offered over the past few trying days. I just wanted to add this special event that a friend of Justin's is doing to honor him this Wednesday. Also, my family has asked that I set up a separate web log specifically for Justin that everyone will have access to share whatever thoughts, feelings and memories they may have. It can be found at www.justinbluthmemories.blogspot.com. Thank you all again for your much needed love and support. It is what has kept us going.

Hello Friends,

My good friend Justin Bluth passed away last week. At his untimely death, I feel helpless and desperate not knowing what I can do to celebrate and pay tribute to his life. What I do know is that Justin had a wonderful family, he was the most generous person I know, and he loved to eat gelato at my gelato shop.

In an attempt to celebrate Justin's life and pay tribute to his generosity, I invite you all to come to the Gelato Freeze in the San Tan Village Shopping Center (www.gelatofreeze.com, for directions and contact info) on Wednesday, May 7, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm to enjoy a night dedicated to Justin. I will have pictures of him and his family on display, a table set up for anyone to write a note to Nicole and his boys, and I will donate 100% of the proceeds of the sales over our average Wednesday sales to the foundation Nicole is planning on setting up in Justin's name. The memory of Justin is so pleasant that his life will be easy to keep alive.

Sincerely,
Tim Raymond

We Miss You

My tender wife has asked that I post a message in tribute to a wonderful and beloved man. As many of you know Amys dear brother Justin, her oldest sibling, was found dead Friday morning. This was an unexpected tragedy that has left us all with broken hearts and many tears. We are so grateful for the countless prayers and the outpouring of love that has been manifested these past few days for Amy, her family, and Justins wonderful wife and four precious little boys. Thank you all for your kindness.

I have only known Justin for three, all to short, years, but he touched me, like so many others, with his all encompassing love and his true gift of understanding an individual. My brother-in-law said it best when he said: "Justin was the type of person who when he asked how your day was, he really wanted to know." Justin had a passion for learning, a genius for working, a gift of listening, and a joy for playing. If Justin was involved, it was a great time. Boys night will not be the same.

Justin was a patient man who was always considerate and temperate. Justin was a tender man who always seemed to know what to say. Justin was always had an easy smile, a ready hug, and a contagious positive attitude. His wisdom and insight are irreplaceable. His laugh and cowlick are unforgetable.

The greatest thing that I can possible say about Justin was that he loved his wife, his children and his family with everything that he had. No one can question his love for his family. He was a good man, a great husband and a wonderful father. He was a role model to everyone that knew him and his influence has shaped the collective destiny of his family. He was the best of men.

Visiting Hours

We got to have Patrick's family come visit us this past weekend and spend some nice sunny days out and about in the AZ heat! I still can't believe how hot it is already - blaghk. Anyways, we had a great time and it was fun for them to get to catch up with little Paigey.

Checking out some animals at the Phoenix Zoo.

Hanging out with the boys.

Ridin' in style with Uncle Kevin.

Singing the mac and cheese song with Uncle Dave.

All pooped out.

:(

This is who got the house...
Some super rich invester who swooped in with an all cash offer way above asking price just so he can hold onto it and turn around and sell it when the market gets back up. Poop on him.

And this is who will be comforting me tonight...

Oh well, what can you do?? Farewell dream house. Back to searching. Sigh...

Mana from Heaven

It's been a battle, but we decided that it's time to grow up and try to find a house that we could afford. The AZ market is CRAZY LOW right now and there is some amazing deals out there. So I've been hunting the foreclosure/repo market for a few months now and finding some interesting options here and there. And then two nights ago I found this little gem...

A 4bed/2 bath and a den beauty in a SAWEET neighborhood that is LOADED with upgrades - and it just happens to be a repo that the bank is offering at a ridiculously low price - for more than 100k under current market value!!! AHHHHH! So I hounded our agent to take us out there today and we filled out all the paper goods and are in process of making an offer. CRAZY!!! I'm seriously freaking out. But it's way too good of a deal to pass up and I'm a sucker for bargains. Plus we just found out that the house we've been renting is going on the market so our time is a tickin'. But at the same time I hate even thinking about moving 'cause I love where we are. Anyways, who knows what will happen but it's kind of fun/exciting/FREAKY all at the same time!

The whole club was lookin' at her...

I'm sorry if you're sick of Paige-mania, but let's be honest, that's what happens when you're a parent. Anyways, here's some pics of the first fashion show, which lasted ALL night after her Birthday Party and 3 hour nap until 7pm. Ya. It was a late night. But she (and Patrick) pulled the "Birthday rules out all rules" Rule, and how can anyone argue with that???

Yes, I am one pleasantly plump prego thank you very much.

"Do these colors bring out my eyes?"

"Is the flower head too much??? Naaah."

"Say what? I'm gorgeous?? Oh, I know."

And THIS is what a sugar crash looks like.

Happy Birtheasterday!

As you all know this past weekend was Easter. But it just happened to fall on the same day as Paige's 2nd birthday as well. And if you're wondering why Easter was so early this year it's because it always falls on the Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox. Hasn't happened in 300 years and won't for another 275. Just thought that was interesting...

Anyways... we had a family Easter/Birthday Party Extravaganza on Saturday to kill two birds with one stone and boy did we have a rip roarin' good time! WooHoo! Warning: a plethora of pictures follow.
Paige's Pickle Dance

Opening some presents
Blowing out the candles
She had been anticipating eating the cupcake-cake since that morning when I was making it and nothing could stop her now... obviously.
One is NEVER enough.

Some easter egg dying fun.

What would Easter be without an Easter Egg Hunt?

Found another one

Must find more...

The kiddies showing off their loot.

Taking a much deserved break after all that partying!

And on Friday I woke up to my most wonderful hubby's doing of wrapped presents (matching paper and bags mind you) with an outfit ( maternity AND cute which is even hard for me) that he picked out all by himself for me to wear on our date that night for my birthday! What a champ.

And he also covered all of our walls with little notes of special memories of us and reasons he loves me. Talk about a winner! I am one lucky girl. So thanks to my prego horomones I was wandering our house all morning crying while reading the notes, with Paige just looking at me like, "What the heck Mom?" hahaha, what a sight.

Love affair with IKEA

I just want to publicly thank IKEA for letting me do this to Paige's room for less than 70 buckaroos. We wanted to give her some dress-up stuff for her birthday but a girl's gotta have somewhere to put her goods, right?

So much fun! She is very fond of admiring herself in the mirror. A little too fond...

And she also found her new best friend "Momu" while we were perusing. Seriously, they're inseparable.

I LOVE IKEA!! Thank you for letting a cheap mom such as I still be able to afford some cute decorations every now and then. Until we meet again. sigh...
